You Create, You Influence, You Become a Brand
In this creator economy, where brands and creators collaborate for mutual benefit - for brands, is it about finding the right creator that can help grow the brand? Or, finding the right influencer? Are creators and influencers the same thing?
Rather than influencer marketing should we be talking about creator marketing?
Creators create content of all sorts, for example:
- Blogs
- Articles
- Books
- Podcasts
- Videos
- Newsletters
- Social media posts
- Web series
- Films
- Events
- Art
- Music
- Games
- Live performances
- Sports
It’s all content now. To be consumed - watched, seen, read, listened to - by the audience - either live or when convenient.
We’re all creators now as we all create some content of our own.
As creators grow their own brand, they become influencers – right?
As for event marketing, to grow your event brand, you need creators and influencers. And as your event audience grows, you start to become an influencer of sorts. Or, if you maintain social media accounts, as you grow your followers, you also become an influencer to some extent – with your own brand.
Creator to influencer to brand. You create then you influence then you become a brand.
